This is not a question about specific annual temperature range you prefer, but how would you moderate the best climate for each situation. The purpose of this thread is finding out how you're biased to one side of temperature, if you can give up the ideal winters or summers to avoid extreme cold/hot conditions of the opposite seasons.
1. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 10°C: 2. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 15°C: 3. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 20°C: 4. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 25°C:
My answer 1. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 10°C: [Coldest High 11/Low 5/Mean 8] [Warmest High 23/Low 13/Mean 18] [Annual High 16.5/Low 8.5/Mean 12.5] 2. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 15°C: [Coldest High 8/Low 2/Mean 5] [Warmest High 25/Low 15/Mean 20] [Annual High 16/Low 8/Mean 12] 3. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 20°C: [Coldest High 5/Low -3/Mean 1] [Warmest High 26/Low 16/Mean 21] [Annual High 16/Low 7/Mean 11.5] 4. Coldest and Warmest months average temperature is around 25°C: [Coldest High 2/Low -6/Mean -2] [Warmest High 28/Low 18/Mean 23] [Annual High 15.5/Low 6.5/Mean 11]
As a result, it seems like the average temperature of the warmest month's average mean temperature does not deviate greatly from 20°C and the annual average temperature seems to strongly favor to be around 11~12°C while winters has much wider range. The fact is that I have little complaints about winter unless it's extremely cold like Winnipeg level, but in summer I'm more picky to find the right temperature.

Make the warmest month 25/18'C for all of them, except on the last one. If the winters are freezing I'd like warmer summers, so 27/18'C for that one (2/-7 for winter)

I also thought you liked summers more like 92/70 rather than high 90s/high 70s. Have your preferences changed recently?

Wouldn't having a colder summer mean a warmer winter to get the same mean? Also, yes my summer warmest has changed a bit. More like 96/76 now as opposed to 92/70. I need to update my dream climate.

Isn't it just about having a 10C, 15C, etc. variation between the coldest and hottest months or is there something I'm missing?

I thought the temperature were the annual temperature mean, but I see he means the annual range. Whoops, I even created a new thread based on this premise. Embarrassing lol

LOL. Everyone misunderstood my concept of the thread except Baba and Steeler. Yes I'm talking about the annual range not the annual mean. It finds out that you are more pedantic for one season or balancing seasons to stay similar annual means year-round. Edit: Basically same idea as ABNW's thread on this link www.city-data.com/forum/weather/2678282-if-you-had-live-climate-where.html, with few more questions of various annual range how would you change the climate according to your taste and see which season do you value the most to either enjoy specific temperature or to avoid certain degrees of your limit of hot/cold endurance.

Alright, I'll try again. The description is kinda confusing
1. 28/16 in the warmest month, 15/9 in the coldest month 2. 30/20 in the warmest month, 14/6 in the coldest month 3. 32/22 in the warmest month, 12/2 in the coldest month 4. 32/22 in the warmest month, 7/-3 in the coldest month

Interesting thread, too bad people didn’t understand it and it died.
1. Coldest month: 49/35 f (9/2 c) Hottest month: 77/43 f (25/6 c)
2. Coldest month: 46/30 f (8/-1 c) Hottest month: 79/51 f (26/11 c)
3. Coldest month: 45/19 f (7/-7 c) Hottest month: 82/54 f (28/12 c)

Thread died again, so I will revive it By the way, my ideal mean average temperature is 17.5ºC (63.5ºF) 1. 10ºC (18ºF) range: Summers 27.5/17.5 (81.5/63.5), Winters 17.5/7.5 (63.5/45.5). So this climate would be similar to my current location, but slightly more continental. Inspired by Nowra, Australia
2. 15ºC (27ºF) range: Summers 29.0/19.0 (84.2/66.2), Winters 14.0/4.0 (57.2/39.2). Definitely less maritime than mine... I think that its similar to Corsica and the Côte d'Azur. Looks like Bastia, France
3. 20ºC (36ºF) range: Summers 29.5/20.0 (85.1/68.0), Winters 10.0/-0.5 (50.0/31.1). I don't want too hot and humid summers; so I decreased the average year temperature somewhat. Similar to (except warmer winters) Bologna, Italy4. 25ºC (45ºF) range: Summers 26.0/17.0 (78.8/62.6), Winters 2.0/-9.0 (35.6/15.8) I have a hatred for cold drizzle under 10ºC (50ºF), so I decided to have snowy winters (without too much rain). Somewhat like Iwanizawa, Japan
