Lots of drizzle in late October-December and occasionally in spring. Rare in summer or winter.
No official stats though, but taking days with 0.01-0.05β of rain and no snow, I can get a rough estimate:
Heres for 2017
January: 6 February: 1 March: 3 April: 2 May: 7 June: 3 July: 1 August: 0 Sept: 3 Oct: 1 Nov: 2 Dec: 1 Total: 30

It can be drizzly at some point on a day with otherwise moderate rain though. FWIW here are the # of days with actual drizzle last year in Paris-Orly (METAR stations report weather conditions, including drizzle), from Infoclimat (drizzle = "bruine"): Jan: 10 Feb: 4 Mar: 4 Apr: none May: 2 Jun: none Jul: 3 Aug: 1 Sep: 4 Oct: 9 Nov: 6 Dec: 15 Total: 58As for Rochester: Jan: 4 Feb: none Mar: 1 Apr: none May: 3 Jun: none Jul: 2 Aug: 1 Sep: none Oct: 3 Nov: 1 Dec: none Total: 15Does that sound accurate to you or too low Steelernation ? And Macquarie island: Jan: 10 Feb: 6 Mar: 6 Apr: 10 May: 17 Jun: 13 Jul: 7 Aug: 8 Sep: 13 Oct: 7 Nov: 12 Dec: 11 Total: 120

As for Rochester: Jan: 4 Feb: none Mar: 1 Apr: none May: 3 Jun: none Jul: 2 Aug: 1 Sep: none Oct: 3 Nov: 1 Dec: none Total: 15Does that sound accurate to you or too low Steelernation ?
That sounds pretty accurate. January and May seem too low, the others seem pretty accurate. Not every day is filled in on the far right column with the weather events, does that mean those days are missing? If so a few probably arenβt recorded. For 2018 so far, it shows 1 in February and 1 in March which seems pretty reasonable.

The drizzle belt of the UK is at 59Β°-61Β° N; Orkney, Fair Isle to Shetland. Certainly NOT 53Β°-55Β° N!

When there's nothing on the far right column, it just means that nothing happen: no fog, no precipitation, no smoke, etc. So it's safe to say that Rochester doesn't qualify as a part of the drizzle bet!

Anywhere south of 36Β° S about the sea is also the fucken drizzle belt ( Roaring Forties), and is also where the Australis/Southern Lights have their northernmost boundaries. As this parallel nears the Furious Fifties, 48Β° S would be Invercargill-Campbell Island tier

Top three "drizzle belt" regions in BC:
- Western coast of Vancouver Island (ex. Tofino/Ucluelet/Port Renfrew)
- North Coast (ex. Prince Rupert)
- Haida Gwaii (ex. Masset/Sandspit)
