So, winter seems to never end in these cities in 2018. Will spring conditions establish in May? Will it go straight to summer?
Which place will be warmer/drier/sunnier in 2018? For sunshine hours, remove the usual amount from Bing to get a WMO standard.
My guess Warmer: Binghamton Drier: London Sunnier: Binghamton

Mean temps are similar in both cities, 13.3c in London vs 13.2c in Binghamton.
London averages 49mm precipitation while Bing averages 91mm.
London averages 199 sun hours while Bing is probably around 220.

Binghamton .
Well maybe not by mean temps but in terms of maxes would have thought Bing sees somewhat warmer temps.

Based on the first week of the month, it looks like Bunghole will be warmer, with sun and rain the same.
The UK is forecast a cooler than average May. The last time London had a sunnier than normal May was in 2011.

I assume we’re going by the official station for Binghamton? Station is 800 feet above the city; maybe a 2C temp warmer below?

How would we be able to tell if Binghamton was sunnier this May? Is sunshine not recorded there? Nope, few American stations do. If we could find actual figures, London would have an advantage by hours from longer days

Nope, few American stations do Why does the airport have sun hours on the wiki page? Because they used to track it but stopped in the mid 90s. Hard to get old sunshine data

London I think will be warmer (in terms of means, I think Bunghole will have warmer highs but cooler lows), Bunghole sunnier and wetter as well.

London I think will be warmer (in terms of means, I think Bunghole will have warmer highs but cooler lows), Bunghole sunnier and wetter as well. Bunghole looks warm or average at least in its forecast. London has a few days above average around the weekend, but before and after that it's going to be chilly or even cold. Bunghole gets about 20-25 extra sun hours on average, but London hasn't seen a sunnier than average May in 7 years so Bunghole will almost certainly win there. My prediction: London 17c/8c, 55mm, 160 hrs Bing 19c/8c, 100mm, 230 hrs

Yup, we don't have data for actual Bunghole, so the Airport station has to be used. Actual Binghamton is fortunately slightly less depressing and slightly less horrible than the elevated station
