Thought this would be an interesting thread. No moving your location though, just things like changing elevation, bodies of water, adding mountains, etc.
I would raise the Appalachians to ~15,000’ and have them run from near the coast to just east of us so we’d have a nice mountain backdrop. That would give us a nice rain shadow and probably make it more continental.
I’d keep the finger lakes and the western Great Lakes but I’d drain Lake Ontario and Lake Erie to get rid of the lake cooling in spring and summer and get rid of the lake effect.
In this scenario, we’d be much drier with maybe 15” (380 mm) of precipitation. Winter would still be cold so there’s he a decent amount of snow but much less than now. It would also be more continental with winters probably around -3/-12 C and summers would be hotter—probably like 30/16 or something like that. Would certainly be an improvement over current Rochester!

1) I would create a mountain chain from Ilomantsi to Kajaani or maybe up to Kuusamo to aid blocking some frigid arctic air from the White and Barents seas.
2) I would make the gulf of Bothnia significantly deeper in order to keep it warmer and ice-free longer. Keep the immediate shores shallow to help the water warm up more in spring and sumemr.
3) Add another, a bit lower, mountain chain on the Suomenselkä ridge to work as another blocker and a creator of nice föhn wind events.
4) Make the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland somewhat deeper in order slow down ice forming in early winter.

Relocate the southern half of the UK about 100km west of the Strait of Gibraltar, ideally. If the location has to remain fixed, then increase the elevation of the western UK to create a stronger rain shadow, add 100m to the Chilterns to protect from any northerlies. Other than that, London is in about the best location it can be within the UK. Get rid of the Greenland blocking of the past few years, return to the typical Azores high summer. Elevate Seattle so it is 1000m above sea level .

Fill in the English Channel and southern North Sea so we get more storm imports that don't fall apart, as well as better hot plumes. There would also be more chance of cold weather too. Flatten those freakin' pennines so Buxton actually has something resembling a summer.

Add maybe 1,000-2,000 feet in elevation to make it a little cooler. Don't want the mountains to be too high though because I still want to maintain exposure the Atlantic and the Great Lakes.

Remove those dumb fuck ranges causing a rain shadow, and go about 100-150km inland.

Make the Great Dividing Range 5000m high and have it extend past Adelaide.

I'd put a 15km ASL ridge running along the border between Finland, and Russia and Norway, continuing south along the eastern border of the Estonia, Latvia, Belarussia and Ukraine. Then I'd make the Bothnia sea/bay saline so it didn't freeze over. I'd also rotate Sweden 10° counter clockwise to put more landmass to the south and more sea to the north. I think I'd also make all of Norrbottens län part of the Bothnia bay.
Hopefully summer temps, and precipitation is kept largely the same if not better, but with a substancial improvement to winter temperatures.
Oh and do you think it'd be possible to place us in a 50km radius circle that's 1km below sea level?

You have to remove Denmark for that. But for Swedes it shouldn't be a hard choice.

Which was why I replied. Make it salt water, it will evaporate, sink and flow away from the Danish strait sooner or later, be replaced by fresh water again, making it the same brackish water.

These are the two major changes I'd make:
1.) I would add about 80 miles of landmass to the east, so cold shots during winter don't weaken as much and storms during summer would be stronger.
2.) Since in the first scenario we'd more in the middle of the state, I would add a plateau running down the middle of the state with gently rolling hills/small mountains to add some orographic lift to our precipitation.

1. Triple the elevation of the Rhenish Massif to protect me from cold oceanic rain in winter and maybe even for some Föhn winds. 2. Make the areas to the east of my location to deep lakes for lake effect snow. 3. Lower the elevation of Southern Germany east of the Black Forest by 200 m so it becomes a source of heat in summer.

Moving the entirety of the earth's landmass 10° south ought to make some kind of difference

Either connect to the continent or make the island larger. Also have more mountains to the west.

I'd lower our elevation significantly and add in a large mountain range to the north to help block out arctic systems from coming down in the winter.

This should help Vancouver have snowier winters. Denver would have an amazing climate as well...

This should help Vancouver have snowier winters. Denver would have an amazing climate as well... Don't get how it would help Vancouver. Still would have mountains to the east, so your inland sea won't help for creating sea-effect snow. And facing the Pacific = mild air.
