This one is at 40°N on the road between Eureka and Redding in Trinity County passing through a mountainous area. Handsome summer diurnals, probably a lot of thunderstorms in shoulder seasons as maritime and hot air compete for attention, heavy snowfall on occasion in winter due to handsome winter diurnals as well. Might be something that excites the resident inland climate enthusiast, ayyy? C for me. It has good points and weak points, but certainly liveable, and exciting within reasonable boundaries! October in particular looks like something that would be epic to experience! Such diurnals... in early autumn? <iframe width="21.340000000000032" height="7.560000000000002" style="position: absolute; width: 21.34px; height: 7.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 5px; top: 123px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_94285514" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.340000000000032" height="7.560000000000002" style="position: absolute; width: 21.34px; height: 7.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 999px; top: 123px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_52175301" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.340000000000032" height="7.560000000000002" style="position: absolute; width: 21.34px; height: 7.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 5px; top: 442px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_84412703" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.340000000000032" height="7.560000000000002" style="position: absolute; width: 21.34px; height: 7.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 999px; top: 442px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82028061" scrolling="no"></iframe>

What criticism does Mr Candle have for this one?

Lame winters, dry summers with no thunderstorms and way too much sun. Summer highs (avg and rec) are too high. Summer lows too low...

Winters are good, shoulder seasons are meh, and summers are terrible.

Changed grade to E. Should pay more attention to the lows next time.

9C avg lows and 34C avg highs? You gotta be fucken kidding me. Winters suck, and I have no tolerance for such disgusting diurnal summer ranges. Nothing like going to bed in heat then waking up shivering and sneezing.

Will you also stop with the "ayyys" then? knotAlso, did you press something else than A in the end because there's still only 1 vote for it?

Nah, the "ayyys" actually suit me, chiefly because I don't say it every bloomin' second like you do I've reconsidered my rating for the climate; was B+, now A–. There should now be another A.

In other news, thoughts on those winter temps and sizeable snowfall? Yes, the snowfall is indeed quite splendid with this particular climate. Winter temps perfect, too.

B/B+
Certainly an interesting climate with the diurnal ranges and wet winters. Summer days too warm but at least the humidity is low and nights cool. Sunshine is also probably too high but that's the typical trade off for more pleasant temps/lower humidity. The wet winters do put this one a step above some other similar climates.

Very interesting. Those winters are absolutely vile with their combination of high rainfall and slightly above freezing temps. Plus the novelty of such high diurnal ranges would wear off after a while,I'm pretty sure. I'll give it a C+ for sunshine and warm afternoons in the warmer half of the year.
