Since it's by the same sea that those ridiculous snow totals per mm precipitation are recorded in Japan, it might not be "cold desert" in winter in spite of the Siberian High, but it certainly isn't wet-winter either. This is essentially a cooled-down and a bit less continental version of Vladivostok without the same extremes in summer with regards to precipitation. My rating is an E+ somewhat salvaged from an even worse grade by the very sunny winters and acceptable summer means for August, which is comparable to July here overall, but too cloudy for optimal comfort. Not much else to celebrate about this one I'm afraid, but for 46°N and being coastal, it's definitely a unique one.

B. Fairly exciting, but those winters are definately a cold fucken desert –15.9° C / –7.1° C requires FAR more snowfall to be adequate, I'm afraid.

C; winters are good, summers are cold crap and way too much seasonal delay in that season.

A-
Interesting seasonal delay and quick fall in temps during autumn.

D. Too cold year round except September and October, and the summers are too wet and gloomy considering their temperatures.
On the plus side I like how sunny those winters are, and the winter record lows are appreciably mild considering how cold the averages are.
