Argentina (42°S) vs offshore from Australia (29°S). Dry, handsome diurnals and frost potential vs an updated and improved version of the Azores with more precipitation (resulting in more storms courtesy of its lower latitude and off an eastern side of a continent) as well as much more frequent sunshine. I'll go with the latter (Norfolk) in an A+ vs borderline A-/B+ win.

Norfolk Island has one of the best maritime climates. The other one is too dry. There is a huge area of Argentina that has subpar climates and Puerto Madryn is in that area. I actually have a Norfolk Pine tree but 95% of it browned last winter (and no I didn't keep it outside).

Back in my early CityData years, I thought Norfolk Island was the best climate on earth. Won't go that far, little more annual range + more diurnal range in the summer, still very good. Puerto Madyrn would be very good if it weren't for the dryness. I imagine Norfolk Island can support a very wide range of attractive native vegetation: tropical, warm temperate and subtropical

Ideally, it should be governed by the Polynesian islanders. That didn't work out so well though, so Australia did intervene for the better I suppose. If they could support themselves effectively I would like to see the islanders self-govern. It's very difficult to achieve though.
