Caesar's Head is located in the far NW corner of the state, at 3,215 feet (980 m) in elevation so it's quite possibly the coolest spot within SC. I personally give it a D+, precipitation is good, but the seasons are too mild for my liking.

they must get some decent thunderstorms which is more than you can say for where I am. Needs more snow and cold though.

It's a bit too wet for a B, but in general it's nothing too bad at all. I'm very surprised if it doesn't get more snow than that in January? -3°C lows, moderate highs and scores of precipitation...

Grand majority of precipitation in that region during winter occurs during warmer than average periods, that's why it's not that snowy.

Pleasantly surprised, but that doesn't mean it's a good climate. D+

This can only really be described as a subtropical highland climate if I'm totally honest here.
Due to the cold winter nights, the biome will probably remind more of humid continental climates than it would say London.

@cumulonimbusextinctus ; @joe90 ; Lommaren Ceasars Head, SC is most definately Subtropical Highland ( CWB). Much too cool for Tropical Highland, and slightly too warm—particularly in its summer lows—for Subalpine (highland variant of Subpolar), or especially Alpine (highland variant of Tundra ET). And no; I do NOT follow the traditional Köppen classifications; instead, I establish my own.
