Cold desert! Located in the Andean rain shadow at 40Β°S, far from the Atlantic and often shielded from Pacfic winds by the high mountains. Rather small village, the climate box is basically the one thing that exists on its Wikipedia page. I've no clue about the sunshine, but since it's shielded from overcast conditions that befalls Chile and sunshine totals still being moderate rather than low there, it's probably high-tier 2000's, but I wouldn't necessarily say it being in the 3000's. I rate this one C+ Too cool summer nights even though days are superb, and winters are not completely ideal, but at the same time not too bad either. Raise the precipitation into the ideal range I have (350-750 mm) and it's a solid B.

Very good for South America but still too mild and not nearly snowy enough. B-.

Too mild in all seasons, too dry, probably too sunny, and not enough snow. At least winters are frosty but that's not enough. D-.
Those record lows look like BS, -8.5 C record low in January lower than 4 other months?

Yeah, the January one looks ridiculous, the others ones I could imagine having frosts in every month, considering how cold the Humboldt Current actually is and that climates on similar latitudes in California near another cold current have recorded frosts year round. -8Β°C would seem impossible though.

D+
The average high temperatures are pretty good but the diurnal range is several degrees too high, and most of all it's way too dry for my liking.

It's worse than Esquel. Dry throughout the year and winters are warmer and less snowy. D.
