I remember Angler using this concept, which I think is pretty stupid. According to me, all climates are judged in relation to how they stack up against my dream climate, which I consider to be an A+, obviously. Being inland or maritime doesn't matter. I'd give a far inland climate that matches up closely with my dream climate and satisfies my wants, like Dushanbe, an A. That being said, coastal Dubrovnik also earns this grade.

Most of my favourite climates are maritime influenced. But then again, some extremely maritime climates are the worst in the world (such as subpolar ones).
