Mild, wet, I assume thunderstorm-ish at 35°S quite far north even in Northland, so significantly north of Auckland, a bit above 2000 hours of sunshine based upon daily average numbers, and the warmest climate of mainland New Zealand. Although all-time heat extremes for NZ weatherstations often are hard to find, I'd assume its overall temperature amplitude is about 0-34°C even on this small northerly peninsula.
A- for me: a bit too wet in winter, but January-March look great.

C. Very boring but livable. Mild winters are offset by high rainfall and summer lows are embarrassingly cool for the latitude. Also has virtually no thunderstorms (like everywhere in NZ).

So there are no cool airmasses anywhere near? I assumed being on the eastern side it'd get a lot more since the weather's more variable than on the western side.

Nope. When you go north of Auckland, that east-west difference doesnt exist because its all on a peninsula.

Comfortable temperatures, good precipitation and not obnoxiously sunny but pretty boring.
