As it is a small island situated in the middle of Beringia, they get proper blizzards throughout winter.
Just need the summers to be cooler to allow for more sleet.

Just shows how powerful the Siberian High is in winter that remains of its temperatures can reach all the way out there, and the Aleutian Low in summer is terrible.

Is true buddy. Actually photo was maded during hottest summer on record & only times to have totally melted sea ice. You can sees ice breaker ship sailing past with strange scene of no ices. |
