tHE Korean monsoon in Jul-Aug looks enticing but Tottori is wet enough in summer to dissuade me from any Korean escapades. The huge snowfall in Tottori, despite significantly higher temperatures is also very enticing. Tottori wins this one but Cheongju is a really decent climate as well.

Cheongju BY FAR!
It at least has a dry season. Itโs also sunnier and has colder winters.

Cheongju for the colder winters and it still looks decently snowy, Tottori's snowfall is good but those mild temps suggest wet, sloppy snow and snow that doesn't last very long on the ground.

It's a pretty close one for me but still have to give it to Tottori.

Cheongju. Winters are too cold for my liking, but should be no problem considering the massive spring warmup there. Plus the sunshine is amazing, can't ignore the 600h difference

Cheongju. Summers are close enough to not sway me either way, so the sunshine and the more sensible rainfall wins it for me.

Tottori is the sister city of my hometown but I choose Cheongju for the much better winters.
