I give it a B. Worse summers than where I live but winters & shoulders seasons a little better. It's in the northwest part of Louisiana about 15 miles from the TX border. Seems to have a combination of Gulf coast and Southern Plains influences. Prone to dry spells during summer (especially mid to late). Gets a good bit of severe weather during spring and sometimes fall/winter. Winters get 35 days on average with lows freezing or below. During summer 100F degree temps seem more common here than the rest of the state. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shreveport,_Louisiana#Climate

Has a lot of flaws, ultimately ends up where my climate is on the same scale: C-
Too hot summer days and nights, Louisiana has too much severe weather also but for 8 months of the year the climate is entirely manageable.

D-; summers are too dry, fall, winter, and spring are too warm, but the variability saves it from a lower grade.

B+; epic summers & storms, but winters are much too warm.

Easily the best climate in Louisiana imo but still not very good.
Winter is too warm and not snowy enough, it’s too wet year round and summer is too long and humid.
D+.

Cut away Jun-Sep and it's an easy A, but as it is, C+

Winters too cold and record lows too low. Nice summers although lows could be a bit higher especially in the shoulder seasons and early summer.

Excellent summers. Winters slightly too cold, but atleast it warms up quickly by spring.

My parents lived there a bit before I was born. They moved to Lake Charles about three months before I was born I think.
"Best climate in the state" doesn't mean it's good. The "snow days" statistic saved it. D.

They aren't dry though, 21°C average dews in July and August plus over 70mm rain in their driest month isn't dry I thought it should go without saying that it's too dry for me, I know objectively it isn't dry. Although 70 mm of rain with such hot temps and high evaporation rate is pretty dry, I bet vegetation browns out a lot during mid-late summer. And Shreveport is very drought prone.

Typical SE US climates when they're too muggy in the summer, too wet overall and too cold in the winter. Ukh!

I'll rate it a B+. Good temps (though too hot in summer) and plenty of winter/spring rain. Also nice that summer is the driest season, though I'd rather early summer be driest as opposed to late summer. Summer is still too humid for me as it is.

Idk if I would say B or C here, but excellent sunshine, not much cold, and long growing season. However, it has too long of summery temperatures and high humidity, which restricts it from being a higher grade if you will.
