Fucken "warm" records compared to the averages.
February 2015 had a -7.9 C anomaly so that’s not bad and December and February had at least -7 C anomalies. January is surprisingly high but the others don’t seem that close to the averages.

Yes but your averages are roughly the same as mine in winter, and we've had -10C deviations all winter months..

July? . It's interesting that 1936 was a record warm summer in Finland, it was for much of the US as well.
Any chance of a weatherbox for Enontekiö Kilpisjärvi Saana during 1992? It looks disgusting.
Edit: February, not July.

Bitch is broken and not reporting half of the time, but @kronan did a weatherbox of all the Saana's data which is available. You find it here: cdweather.boards.net/post/67706

Norway's winter records are so impressive. How are the means calculated?

Post by Ariete on Sept 7, 2018 1:29:24 GMT -5
I call BS on those Oslo Observatory figures. Helsinki had a mean of 11.3C in May and 16.6C in June 1889. The July one I buy.
Stockholm Observatoriet: 11.9C in May and 16.8C in June 1889. Trondheim: 11.7C and 14.7C Bergen Florida: 14.8C and 16.1C Färder lighthouse on the approaches of Oslo Fjord: 13.8C and 16.8C
Must be some really localised heat in Oslo... for two months. Ok, the May one might be somewhat correct.

Interesting how the only month that has ever had a mean below freezing in the Faroe islands is March.

Madison, WI 1869-Present. There was a location change from the city center to the airport in the 1940s. The city station had more urban influence - warmer nights and lower diurnal range.
Warmest 1880/01 0.8C 33.5F 1882/02 1.1C 34.0F 2012/03 10.1C 50.1F 1915/04 12.2C 54.0F 1881/05 19.2C 66.6F 1933/06 24.4C 76.0F 1901/07 26.6C 79.8F 1995/08 24.9C 76.9F 1931/09 20.2C 68.4F 1947/10 15.2C 59.4F 2001/11 7.8C 46.0F 1877/12 3.6C 38.4F July 2012 was close at 79.4F/26.3C, if the weather station was in the city center it probably would break the record. So no cold record since 1963 (and a weak ass one at that) and only one heat record that didn't occur during my lifetime. May and June feature the smallest difference between the warmest and coldest months (7.3°C) and December the largest (16.7°C).
