This Central German climate located at an elevation above 200 metres combines moderate means, being prone to extremes in either direction.
My rating is a C+
I would've preferred a bit warmer summer nights, winters either warmer or colder, as well as some more sunshine. I assume Bamberg is peppered by thunderstorms as well during summer, although I experienced none when I was there a decade ago.

C; kinda weak in all seasons, not enough precipitation, but the records indicate that it can be quite variable.

B+; lovely winters, crummers too cold but likely quite stormy. Latitude too high, thus yielding ugly twilight (~50Β° N)
