Two climates in Western France - not too far away from one another, but with significant differences. Oléron (an offshore island) has narrow diurnal ranges, but is way sunnier in spite of that. Guéret receives more daytime warmth and colder nights, but being inland at 500 metres of elevation contributes to it receiving more rainfall than sea level locations, along with cloudier weather.
For me this is tight, but I'll go with Oléron for the extra sunshine. Guéret would feel similar to London in many ways, except more cold rain, so not overly pleasant anyway. Might as well enjoy the extra sun and more adequate amounts of rainfall. C+ vs C.

Oleron for being drier. The other place has better temps but I think I’d notice 25-30 less rain days than 2 f extra in summer or less in winter.

Both suck but Oleron has way better lows and more sunshine so it wins.

The climate table of Oléron represents only the small portion like square kilometer of the northwestern corner nearby Chassiron, the rest part of the island felt easily 3~4°C warmer in general during daytime.

Oléron because I'm not a cold lover, unlike many (most?) of the people here.
Currently the city-data forum doesn't have many cold lovers and 4-season lovers. This forum seems to have a lot.
