The major metropolis of Turkey and one of the largest cities in the deep south of Russia, both right on the boundary on what's considered the dividing line between Europe and Asia on the Eurasian landmass. I think this climate battle could be quite interesting considering the summer precipitation of Vladikavkaz, the relative winter cold, but Istanbul in general being warmer and sunnier.
My vote is for Istanbul, which is a strong B+ climate.

Vladikavkaz, fucken!
The only advantageous position Istanbul yields is its better latitude (41° N>>>43° N). Otherwise, Vladi prevails with ease!

I don't even need to look at the stats.
Vladikavkaz no question! That's a solid A climate.

Istanbul. But it has much colder summers than I thought it did. The city is so large that it depends on how maritime a station is, I assume this one is a bit more maritime than others, because the one Météo Climat is using indicates avg highs above 28°C in summer if I recall correctly.

I voted Istanbul, I always forget how cool/temperate Istanbul is, it's basically just a more humid version of Portland, OR with warmer nights.
