This is one of Spain's coldest cities located at elevation at 42.36°N, being inland and shielded from the Bay of Biscay low-pressure systems by the Asturian mountains. With regards to it being the coldest city with above 100,000 inhabitants in Spain; everything's relative of course, but the end result is still like a drier and sunnier version of valley Oregon.
I rate this one a B+
Summers are absolutely epic, but winter lows are slightly too cool, with April and May being warming up too slowly.

Isn't this climate essentially the best possible year that Britain could get, complete with using sunshine readings from a fake station in a Bidford backyard?
In all seriousness, if the Azores High was stronger than it is both in summer and winter, I could imagine Britain looking a lot more like this in southerly inland areas.

Theoretically London can be warmer than that.

Theoretically London can be warmer than that. Sure. Anyway, I was more thinking in line of areas outside UHI's with cooler winter lows and also to get snowfall as being the ideal year in the UK, especially by your standards?

It would be the best possible year in Europe above 50N in all likelihood.

A–; good temperatures, sub-standard precipitation (i.e. not enough of it).
Record highs in Summer are too weak, unfortunately At least 40° C, come on!

B. Just a bit too cool overall, and not wet enough in winter.

Theoretically London can be warmer than that. London already is warmer annually. This climate gets a C+.
