Two of the coldest climates in WA (particularly in winter), Mount Barker has more stability (and will appease cold lovers) but also more rain in summer while Wandering is sunnier, drier and much colder at nighttime due to altitude. Mount Barker is also closer to beaches while Wandering is tucked in the middle of the Darling Ranges.

Wandering for the higher continentality.

Wandering; more continentality.
Reminds me of a standard South West Slopes climate in NSW, but with much less Summer precipitation and with warmer Winters. Bβ for Wandering; most SW Slopes climates are >Aβ at least, so it is much worse than them.
Wandering's poor ranking owes chiefly to its non-existant Summer precipitation.

Mount Barker. Better summers.
30/14 could get close to 26/13 for me, but 32/14 really can't. It's liveable, but not as good.

Wandering easily. Drier and more continental.
