Thanks to Crunch41 for making this climate box! I give it a B. Very interesting climate with pretty solid temps and good snowfall. Negatives are that it's too rainy during summer, not variable enough, and June is too hot.

All the data was compiled simply by using the coldest day for each day of the year in Tucson's history. Understandably the summer is super rainy because that's the only way for it to be mild here that time of year.

Summer is absolutely horrific! Then itโs incredibly stable and boring year round and thatโs topped off with a cold rain suicide attack in March and April.

Yes, I took daily data for the entire POR and found the coldest day for each of the 366 calendar days. I used mean temperature instead of min temperature. I think mean is just (max+min)/2. Then made a weatherbox out of it. The data had max, min, mean, precip, snow, and snow depth. I have a quick way of doing it, so I could do any weather station that has daily data for download. I'm not going to page through 100 years month-by-month.
Daily data for July (in/F). Great for thunderstorms. If only US stations tracked sun hours, we could see just how low they can go.
I give it a D. Summer could be good but it rains every day in July and August. December and January are too dry, so the cold months have no snow. The spring wet period is annoying, too. Best months are May and June. I think I would prefer this to normal Tucson, but the monsoon might be worse than year-round hot and dry.

Weak A; diurnals too narrow during Summer; Winters too dry (notwithstanding its lovely temps).
For this particular year to yield an A+, it will need FAR more winter precipitation, and greater diurnal ranges during Summer.

C. Respectable temperatures, but the heat peak in June followed by a very slow cool-off over the course of summer and fall is bizarre and not to my liking, and of course summers are waaaay too wet.

B Summers are too wet, and December and January need more snow. The records are kind of lame, but that's what you'd expect in this sort of situation. Also Crunch41 can you teach me how you did it?

srfoskey I used Excel to do it once I got the data in a decent format. I'll try to make a user-friendly version. Currently working on Oymyakon, just have to make the wiki boxes
