Very wet and cool spring there that year. Rest looks relatively normal. Sunshine data is estimated.

The only factor which saves it from Fβ is its adequate precipitation and storm activity.

There have been better years or at least more interesting years. I forget which year it was (maybe 2012, 2013 or 2014) but it was one of the hottest on record in Hilo.

C-/D+. Too warm in winter with too much rain although I like some rain. I'll be generous and give a C-.

I would give this year a C-... the climate has adequate precip and, while, muggy, is not excessively hot... While the spring was excessively wet, it had milder temps than normal for a tropical climate, so I am rating it like a high-end subtropical climate with a "warm season" that is not too hot
