1996 was an interesting year in London. It was cooler than average, but dry. The winter and spring (2nd coldest May on record) were notably cold (with minor snowfall in Feb and Dec), but the summer was sunnier than average with a warm June.
Do you prefer this one to the average climate?

A D, slightly better than real London, could use more precip and sun.

For London a warm and sunny summer and cool winter. Better than normal London for sure.

C-, needs sunnier summers and hotter of course but a little better. Same rating though.

Only June and October had above average temps this year. January, April and July were average. The rest were below normal. If we get a repeat this year, I wouldn't mind (other than the dreadful Mar/May).
Seasonal mean temp departures Spring: -1.7c
Summer: +0.1c
Autumn: -0.5c
Winter: -1.2c
The only other year I can remember where every season other than summer was cooler than normal was 2013.

Dβ; terribly boring summers, dry as a bloody bone.

C-. Slightly worse than average London due to cold winters and low precipitation. Average London is a C.
