en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunsmuir,_California#Climate Epic downpours in winter, epic diurnals in summer, very nice temperatures in spring and fall. Heat waves are not extreme and the record summer highs are not drastically higher than the averages. I give it an A-. A because it's awesome, - because nights could be a bit warmer especially in winter and early spring (fewer frosts). One of the best climates in the PNW and the US

B. Lows are too cool year-round and precipitation should ideally be evenly distributed but overall it's pretty good.

C-; winter rain is interesting but wish it was more snow than rain, also too mild year-round and probably too sunny.

A–
Requires colder, snowier winters and stormier summers for a better rating; A or even A+ depending on how much snowier and stormier—but otherwise, a lovely climate!

Winter is a fucking horrible cold rainy stable suicidal bullshit nightmare.
May-September is very good temp wise but the lack of storms sucks and it’s still too stable.
I’ll give it a D- for having good summers at least.

I'll go with an A-. Solid, needs a few diurnal range fixes and slightly more moderated patterns.

B+. Great winters, and summers have nice max temps but as with most climates in this area, summer nights are far too cold.

It's worse than the stats suggest.
