I'll go with Budapest due to more extreme records and less lag. Presume Montauk's sunshine distribution is similar to Providence and is thus NZ-ish, but not typically oceanic, but Budapest has high winter/summer differences more like Eastern than Oceanic NW Europe. However, Budapest has a lower continentality index since it is at a higher latitude. Ariete ๐๐ฟMรถrรถn๐๐ฟ fixed

tij Iโm gonna say it so Ariete doesnโt have to. Please paste in images of the climate boxes. Come on. Twice in one day?

Budapest easily. Hotter summers, colder winters, more extreme records.

Oceanity and continentality aren't opposites imo. Montauk is both very continental and oceanic imo, because I view oceanic and maritime synonymously.

Budapest is FAR more continental; not even a contest.

Montauk for having a slightly higher annual range and lower latitude. Lower latitude should be considered as a factor that increases continentality as climates at lower latitudes tend to have lower annual range. Records don't matter imo.

Budapest. More extreme temperature records, less seasonal lag and a spring/summer rain peak. Montauk has a fall/winter peak more common in oceanic climates.
