Sydney is an intirguing hybrid climate between the continental interior and the Atlantic Ocean on the upper peninsula of Nova Scotia. Notable for this millenium so far is that winters and summers both have gotten warmer, whereas late springs are virtually flat and especially June in early summer even regressed. With its maritime influence, the seasonal lag is quite extreme, with no May getting above 9.8°C during the last 17 years, at the same time as no September fell below 13.3°C. Four Octobers also reached 10°C means to be the fifth Dfb-month.
What is worth noting is that general precipitation and snowfall are both slightly up, the latter in spite of milder winters.
Other stats for the 2002-2018 timeframe:
Warmest month: Aug 2012 (25.3/16.1) Warmest max month: Jul 2014 (26.0/14.9) Warmest monthly min: Jul 2006 (10.5)
Coldest month: Feb 2015 (-3.0/-13.6) Coldest max month: Jan 2003 (-4.1/-11.5) Coldest monthly max: Feb 2004 (2.9)
My rating is a D+. It's too rainy in winter and too windy for me, the snowfall amount is quite interesting however. Summers are liveable but a bit cool and rainy for the latitude. Especially June is a big disappointment being at 46°N with a continent to its west. The maritime influence is really strong by then, so it recovering so well on that narrow peninsula is quite impressive anyway, especially considering Saint-Pierre and Miquelon are nearby and the way those summers are.

A–; epic winters, but with poor and stable crummers.

D-. Very poor climate with freezing winters, anemic crummers, a lot of wind, and a lot of snow.

Surprised that July 2014 was the warmest month there, as it was quite crummery in Northeast US

Surprised that July 2014 was the warmest month there, as it was quite crummery in Northeast US ... and very warm in Northern Europe. But yes, it did surprise me a bit too.
What's your grade by the way? Not high I suppose?

Among the worst climates in the Maritimes.
Too much winter rain and not cold stable temps or snowfall. Summers look extremly nice though.

C. Too much rain especially in winter, too much lag, summer is short.
