Have fun!
The 20 climates chosen were:
Coimbra, Madrid, Brindisi, Thessaloniki, Erzurum, Yerevan, Türkmenbasy, Khujand, Aksu, Bayannur, Zhangijakou, Qinhuangdao, Aomori, Willow Creek, Salt Lake City, Fort Collins, Lincoln, Lafayette, Pittsburgh and New York City.
Sunshine would probably be between 2,700 and 2,800 hours. July averages 24.5°C and January -0.6°C. Snowfall is estimated by 1:10 as the other cases were. Is the average worldwide better than NYC? Giorbanguly ?
My rating is a C+. Winters are a bit boring with no lasting snow cover and summers are a little bit too hot. It's quite similar to Mid-Atlantic United States with a drier nature. The interesting part for me is that 40°N still averages colder than -5°C lows in winter.

A–; winters could use more precipitation, and summers could use more variability in its maxima.

B-. Winters are too cold but about 7-8 months of the year are fairly nice. Precipitation is a bit low. Sunshine is good considering the cold winters. I'd think it's a bit worse than NYC due to the low precipitation although sunshine is better here.

Wow, temp wise nyc is pretty average for latitude, not a shocker this is dry. 36 would be worse .35-36 would be cool, think average summers are hotter than raleighs though.

B. Could be drier, snowier and more variable but pretty good.

B. Good seasonality but winters are too warm for my liking. Overall precip is decent but would ideally want to see defined wet (winter) and dry (summer) seasons.

Definitely better than NYC. I'd give it a C+

Not bad at all. Looks like a typical B- climate to me. More snow would easily bump it up to a B+ though...
And then summers with more precipitation (like 150mm in 2 or 3 months each, between June to August) would bump this sucker to A+ territory with the already snowier winters.

It looks mediocre I'd say, but not horrific- Dry-nyc-ish. B-/C+. Transitions seem decent and winters only a bit too cold, but summers suck. I'm guessing my optimal latitude would be 42-43ish N? In between this one and the 45N one, likely.

B, worse than 45N. Summer is now too hot and winter is a bad temperature, cold but not cold enough to be snowy.
Based on these two boxes my ideal climate would fit best at 50N or a bit lower. Annual average of 4-5C.

D. Summers are way too hot and sub-freezing lows with above freezing highs is the worst possible winter.

B-, makes me like my climate for what it is. My location is consistently colder (5-7F colder each month), wetter (twice), and snowier (2.5x) throughout the year.
