This climate is an average of Dallol and Vostok data (except for the precip which is just Vostok data and the sunshine numbers which I estimated). Just shows how cold Vostok is... D- for me. Too fucken dry.

Needless to say, when you combine an F climate and a Z---------- climate, you get an F climate.

F. Avoids the F- for being dry and being pleasant a few months.

Brutal heat + Brutal cold = cold tundra desert climate. E, too dry and cold. Better than Vostok or Dallol which are F grade.

Brutal heat + Brutal cold = cold tundra desert climate. E, too dry and cold. Better than Vostok or Dallol which are F grade. Since Dallol's temps are so invariable, Vostok is still the main driver in these stats, as can be seen by June and July's numbers. This climate would still look like Vostok itself 99% of the year...lmao.

๐๐ฟMรถrรถn๐๐ฟ would it have snow cover? Most of the year is below freezing but it has almost zero snowfall so the snow may sublimate faster than it falls.

I think it's cold enough but sublimation would definitely be a factor. It's hard to say how much but I think it would be solid cover since this climate will have existed for thousands of years under prevailing frozen conditions. It's similar enough to Nord, although with "warmer" winters and colder summer lows: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Station_Nord,_Greenland#Climate

That's an F for me. Perpetual Saskatoon winter/very early spring, no thanks.

Why is July the warmest month if it is the middle of winter in Vostok?

Why is July the warmest month if it is the middle of winter in Vostok? Since they are in different hemispheres, I made the obvious adjustment of using July data from Dallol and January data from Vostok, for the July you see in the image. Likewise for all the other months or it wouldn't make sense.

I still prefer Dallol by far.
