1981-2010 normals and all-time extremes in that link. Located near the exact decimal on the higher end of 58°N as Nyköping, which makes it especially interesting for myself.
High Level has gotten warmer, drier and snowier at the same time in the past 17 years. Summer maxima are now edging close to 24°C, May has just gotten above 17°C highs, winters are now -13.9/-24.1 for January rather than -15.0/-25.8 and in addition, March and April are not only flat, but have gotten colder in spite of the extreme seasons being clearly warmer.
Also notable is that the chinook remnants appear much stronger in January than December, just look at the difference in mean maxima between those two months!
I'll give it an E+ since winters are still way too cold. Having said that, I like the absence of rain, very little single-digit weather, plenty of snow without going overboard and the dry and sunny summers. Yellowknife and Fort McMurray both have very sunny summers and well above 2,000 hours overall, so I can't imagine High Level being any different. If we're talking continental subarctic climates, this is as close to perfection as it gets. Still, -40°C every winter and -4/-17 in March is way too cold to be properly acceptable.
It's also worth noting that High Level has a KFC

A-, for that level of cold I'd like more snow but overall good

F-. Absolutely unlivable. Wouldn't May-August be fairly nice at such a high latitude though? Dry air and plenty of sunshine, along with occasional rain?

Yes but the winter is way way way too cold for a passing grade. When the climate is so cold-dominated it doesn't matter whether or not there's a pleasant season. Shoulder seasons are also cold and summers are too weak.

A- Very nice Albertan climate! Don't have much to complain about other than the length of winter, which is slightly long for me but nothing too bad.

D. Too cold year round and too long of a snow season.
