Ariete I added the weather box Corry is a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania, outside of Erie. It's in the lowlands of northern PA and is significantly more moderate than Bradford, Smethport, or any higher elevation town in the mountains. Snow cover is very reliable from late November to mid March, with heavy lake effect snow and is prone to arctic outbreaks and very cold winter lows. Corry is in zone 5a meaning a winter low of -15F to -20F (-26C to -29C) can be expected once per year. Spring and fall are tranquil and pleasant. Summer is warm, with 81/56 in july. Thunderstorms are commonplace. I'd rate it a B+. Colder and snowier than my location, still not enough for an A from me

Aβ; variable summers and snowy winters, but too dry for how cold it is. Autistic precipitation pattern, too...just imagine if all that summer gayfall fell in winter instead...if fucken only.

C+ for me as well. Definitely better than Minneapolis though, but I prefer milder climates with a pattern like this-- more like Cape cod or Block Island than this place...

No weatherbox screenshot in OP, and even the link is broken.
Sorry bro, cannot bother to vote.

D+. Temperatures alone can get a C- but excessive snow lowers the grade to a D+. Just way too cold and snowy in winter. Spring and fall are chilly. Summer is on the cool side. Precipitation is good though.

Speagles84 , now we're talking. Highs are A material, but the lows ruin it all. The element of continental climates I dislike the most are high diurnals. T-shirt temps at day, coat and gloves temps at night bugs me off if they last for a couple of months every year. Some days a month, sure, just for variety. Months; no. It's a bit too rainy, and those record lows in most months are too much. Nevertheless, overall it's not that bad. I think a flat C is in order here.

B+ or very weak A-
Very good climate, just not cold enough in winter for a true A rating.

A-, Winter highs are too mild, but the snowfall should keep snow around most of the winter. Yearly rainfall is higher than ideal. Speagles84 , now we're talking. Let me prove that this new climate is not physically possible. Temperature is a continuous function of time, and in order for highs and lows to be equal, a climate must be the same temperature forever, as any change in temperature at any time would cause a positive diurnal range. However, the temperatures change each month and also reach record highs and lows that are respectively much higher and lower than the average temperatures. It is not possible to have any temperature changes with zero diurnal range, and therefore this climate is not physically possible.

@qidb602 you are correct. Are you taking math or philosophy right now? Looks like a math proof. The lowest diurnal range I've seen is this climate in Norway with a range of 1.9C: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svolv%C3%A6r

Lol, not quite that narrow diurnals! Cut the lows in half an then we've have an a.

I cut the average and record lows in half. I divided the amount of thermal energy in Corry's low temperatures by 2. Converted Fahrenheit to Kelvin, divided by 2, and then converted back to Fahrenheit.

Ariete many continental climates can have lower diurnal ranges and many noncontinental climates, especially subtropical highland climates, can have high diurnal ranges--

Yes I know, but they are most common in continental climates.
