Let's rate Deutschland!
C or so, it's too gloomy and summer is too cool but still passable (25/15c or so ) in most of the country, while winter avgs seem good. Most of it still seems better than Mpls.
Freiburg and Karlsruhe seem like the best while Erfurt is among rhe worst german climates, NE-French climates > Polish-baltic ones.

Most lowland German climates get a C- or D+. Not much diversity with most areas having an oceanic climate with relatively cold winters. I'll settle for a C-. Overall winters are just too cold and are combined with weak summers and chilly transitions. Also too cloudy.
Places north of Berlin would be in the D range but low-elevation southern areas are not too bad.

Ganz mittelmรครig. Am ende finde ich das C representiert es gut, weniger gute aber auch wenige schlimme Klimas in Deutschland.
(Quite mediocre. In the end I find that C represents it well, few good but also few bad climates in Germany).

C+
Temperatures are decent in most of the country, but there's not enough variety to choose from and most of it is a bit too much on the cloudy and oceanic side for my liking.

B. Probably a tie in the 3rd best country of Europe climate-wise.

B. Probably a tie in the 3rd best country of Europe climate-wise. Ah would Britain and France be the best? What other countries would Germany be tied with?

Haven't measured an average climate for each country. Based on roughly organizing in my calculation, Germany tied with Ireland. Different characteristics of annual ranges yet similar annual mean.

C+ Some good climates but mostly in the east and/or south. Mostly mediocre though but virtually anywhere in Germany is better than Vancouver, which is quite sad.

Pretty mediocre and not much variety. North coast is probably D-, most is C or D range, mountains obviously worse. I guess more area is in D then.

Germany is the definition of "meh". Probably a D+ overall.

Most of Germany is a B climate. Decent summers but too mild in winter. The worst area is probably the coastal Northwest for being too oceanic. Look at Heligoland with 18C summer and 3C winters. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heligoland#Climate. The best is maybe Dresden, but the difference in means between most cities is only 1-2 degrees, and most of the country would feel similar. The mountains in the south have colder, snowy winters but washed-out cool summers that are too wet for me. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Kรถppen map is boring. Monthly maps of temperature and rainfall are on this site. It also has extremes (hottest, wettest, etc). [English version google translate link]
More detailed climate zone map.

D. Essentially Scandinavia without all the good parts. No winter and super cloudy. Just meh.
