Hilo by a hair, because its warm rain can dry up things up faster (being a tropical climate with a stronger sun). Still a crazy ass, cockroach-infested climate though...

Seattle - not good but better than Hilo
Hilo: 272 rainy days and over 3 m of rain - no thanks And what is there to look forward to in Hilo? Same boring temps and shit ton of rain every month.

Supurb mild tropical ( or tropical lite ) climate.... no extremes, other than the rainfall of which there is more than enough in every month for the place to stay lush and green. Just about every sorta tropical and subtropical flora known to man can grow in Hilo.... a true paradise !

Hilo gets less than 10 thunderstorms a year for 272 rain days. Absolutely awful, Seattle is the easy winner.
Now if most of that rain in Hilo was thunderstorms, it would be a different conversation

Seattle might be depressing in winter but Hilo is depressing all year round. Seattle is the clear winner.

Seattle might be depressing in winter but Hilo is depressing all year round. Seattle is the clear winner. Even when its raining, its warm.... they dont shovel snow.... just sayin'.... And dont get water bills in the mail I'd venture to say....
