Modesto is semiarid desert arid.
Melbourne is too dry for my liking but has good temperatures. Not a fan of the summer temperature pattern though.
Wisconsin is Wisconsin.
Tossup between Boston and NYC, and Iβll pick NYC for being warmer and wetter.

For me it's between Boston and Melbourne. Melbourne is too dry though, has a bit excessive heat records, and has a muted potential for chill, so it's mediocre for an oceanic climate (still a B- though). Otoh, Boston is quite good for a continental climate (B), with ample precip and sunshine and marine moderation from extremes, although winter is still somewhat too cold and summer somewhat too hot, but manage ably so. Using Dandenong would have made this battle closer...
Kenosha is too cold (bit better than Mpls though) and Modesto is too hot, and NYC's hot nights place it below Boston imo.

It's between Melbourne and Modesto. Modesto's temps seem a little better although slightly too hot in summer but it's too dry. Melbourne isn't warm enough in summer but it gets heat waves. Modesto also has better winters. Melbourne has (slightly) more thunder. It's a really close one.
I might change my mind later but I'm leaning toward Melbourne for now. Much nicer-looking vegetation in Melbourne with more rain. Summers there will be 'interesting'. Took a long time to decide here.

Complete landslide victory for Melbourne here.

Kenosha is probably my least favorite climate in Wisconsin, not cold or snowy enough in winter, but with strong lag in spring. Madison has about 5F warmer highs April-June at similar latitude. Still better than the alternatives. Modesto is my least favorite, too hot and dry in summer.

What are the avengers? Not another boring super hero movie I presume? Anyway, I choose California. Warm, sunny and pleasant all year.

But people apparently cannot get enough of exactly the same thing over and over and are more than happy to give away their money. Anyway, I predictably voted for Kenosha, Wisconsin but Boston is definitely 2nd best.
