Fans are great! I have a few different ones and can't imagine living without one. It's odd to me that people don't own a fan. I think I'd keep have one even if I moved somewhere like Stornoway. I also use one in my bathroom when I shower to get the humidity out. My current place doesn't have a built-in fan like most newer bathrooms.

Despite having the windows open, my room held steady at 77F overnight. Perfect for sleeping.
