The thermometer I use has a 24 hour high/low, but no historical data. The highest indoor temp I personally felt this summer was 83 or 84 (28-29C), I forget. If it gets above 80 and doesn't look like it will cool down overnight I'll turn on AC. But I prefer open windows when possible in summer.
I was gone during the hottest days in August, with the windows shut and AC off. It reached at least 92F during that time. Explanation: I came back after the heat was over, on a day of low 70's and cloudy. At 6pm it was still 83F/28C, 54% RH, dew 64F/18C. But the temp ranged from 83 to 92 in the past day. RH from 54 to 56%. The "day" usually resets around 10pm, so it may have been a little hotter inside before 10.
Outdoors the past two days were hot and humid, with peak temp of 93 (75F dew) and 92 (78F dew). So 92F and 54% RH (73F/23C dew) is possible.
The coldest indoor temp so far this fall was 58F/14C. With above-average weather in the forecast I haven't needed to turn on the heat yet. |
