26.5c in my kitchen at 5.00am....the late afternoon storm cooled things down beautifully, even had to pull the sheet up in the middle of the night.....a great nights sleep !

I have aircon but rarely if ever use it unless I have 'soft' visitors up from down south. House is elevated ( ie up on stilts ), louvered windows, wide verandahs, and a shaded garden 3.30pm, 33c in the living room and a 25c DP, 75% RH. A passing rain shower has dropped the outside temp to 28c |

The house runs East-West, so morning and afternoon sun on the narrowest dimension walls ( which are partially shaded by tall palms ). Also the house gets the south easterly prevailing winds in the dry season and the prevailing westerlies in the wet season. And at anytime of the year I get west and north westerly sea breezes in the late afternoons. 6.00pm....30c at the Airport, DP 24c, indoors in the living room right on 32c ! All in all quite pleasant... ceiling fans stirring up the tropical ambience inside, cold beer in the fridge....paradise ! |

Bang on 33c at 4.00pm ( in the living room ). Little or no breeze, but a storm off to the east has cooled the outside temp tp 30.9c.
