84°F when I got home at 9 pm opened windows and put in fans 79°F at 10:30 pm 72°F at 2 am (woke up in the middle of the night) 69°F now at 7 am Yikes. At least it cools off quickly with the fans. 73 F/23 C at 8AM...opened the door for some fresh air before A/C kicks back on.

You mean it's still warming up inside this late in the day? Sun angle decrease is slower up here so that’s not surprising. Also depends on how much west facing sun the building gets

You mean it's still warming up inside this late in the day? Sun angle decrease is slower up here so that’s not surprising. Also depends on how much west facing sun the building gets It's still surprising to me, but fair enough. I haven't really noticed any sort of lag here at all between indoor temp and peak outdoor temperature around early to mid afternoon. But then again, my house is surrounded by tall vegetation on three sides.

This was yesterday. Virtually no difference between when the max outdoor temp and max indoor temp were reached.

But then again, my house is surrounded by tall vegetation on three sides. also, low insulation = faster response and small diurnal means less to heat up. lived on an apartment on the ground floor with thick walls that wouldn't heat up much for the day or even of a heat wave with windows and shades closed at the hottest time of the day.
