If you got placed in the game of thrones world, where would you live? Discount Houses/Lands/etc, just based on climate.
Some VERY extreme climates I came up with.

I was tempted to pick Winterfell, but decided it was even too cold for me. Check out Castle Black's record low lololol

The last couple seem unrealistically hot in summer.
Castle black is also extremely unrealistic, people do live there and -300s is uninhabitable. It would probably be like Vostok at the very coldest.
Iβd also think the riverlands would be warmer than subarctic.
Anyway, Lannisport is the easy winner.

Among these highly exaggerated climates, I would probably go with Lannisport. It's overly hot in the summer months but also avoids the nasty winters. Based on what the climate would probably be in the "real" non-exaggerated locations, I think Dorne would very likely be the most comfortable for me.
All of this, of course, assumes living with GOT level of technology (i.e. no A/C or heating).

I'm not familiar with GoT (only read the first book a few years ago), but don't last the seasons erratically there?

As the physics of our world doesn't apply to the world of GoT, it's impossible to make those weatherboxes as well. If Bran had seen one winter before the new one, the 30-year weatherbox couldn't be like that, as the summer lasted for like 12 years IIRC.
Anyway if I focus on Castle Black only, snowfall seems to be present even during the so-called summer. However, very few people ever use any headgear, not to mention cover for their faces, which would be required in very low temperatures. Just north of the Wall there's thick forest. That means that at least during long summers the mean must be above 10C for a prolonged period of time, as the conifers seem to be quite tall. Most of the Wall and Beyond the Wall scenes were shot in Iceland, and that could give a hint. IIRC the Wall is also under of some kind of spell which prevents it from melting, so wouldn't matter if the air temperature would be well above freezing.
Disregarding the weatherboxes, I would live in the Riverlands.

Lannisport is the best. Kings Landing is a close second.

Famines across Europe show that it doesn't have to be Antarctic winters, a few bad summers and thus harvests killed scores of people.

I guess I have to go with Lannisport. Theyβre all bad though.

Averages are -50s which are common near the poles here even

They're all bad, but Kings Landing at least has more than half of the year being very good, has to land it the win, even though summer is atrociously hot.

Speagles84 I didnβt get the impression that Kings Landing was that hot. I would have guessed maybe 80/65 during the summer and 50/38 during the winter or something.
