Is Iqaluit coming up shortly on your to-see list? 🖕🏿Mörön🖕🏿 Probably not. There's much more to see on Baffin Island though, like the area just north of Pangnirtung. And Pond Inlet, which looks absolutely beautiful. Really cold there, even compared to Iqaluit.

I maded trip to Iqaluit for the nice coniferous forest walks but now I'm disappointed, can I get a refund?

4th November 2017. First snow of the winter that year. It didn't amount to much but it was impressively early.

Pre-hurricane skies today Can barely see a haze on the horizon around noon, which I believe is the leading edge of the system... Later in the afternoon at Basin Head beach Nice sunset. Tomorrow should be another sunny day, right?

I just got back to my homebase in PEI from the ruggedly beautiful and dramatic Cape Breton. What a place that is. I've been to Alaska, Hokkaido, Colorado, and many other gorgeous places but Cape Breton tops them all for me, despite the lack of snow covered peaks at the moment. These pics don't do justice! hard to believe, but overall I did like the Cape Breton coast better than any one part of the California or Oregon coast. Nicer looking, consistently steep and had a more out of the way feel and the small towns had more character. Gros Morne in Newfoundland is more spectacular and just much more exotic feeling, even if the coast isn't quite as good. Wish I went out to Meat Cove; at least I did part of that Pollet's Cove hike

I did and also got some video but nothing too exciting since it was dark when the storm was at its height. I'll post a video here in the next few days, along with more pictures. I got plenty of aftermath pictures though.

A video from a forest in PEI with raven squawking near the end.
Day after Dorian hit. Trees remarkably still.

This will have a ton of pics, just a warning. These are from July-August 2014 during geology field camp. Alright, first up we have some pics from an area outside bumfuck Christmas Valley, Oregon... Next up are my photos from Montana All in all...Glacier NP is amazing. I didn't expect much, especially after living in Alaska, but it really wowed and amazed me. Loved it there. Bonus pic from La Tetons alex992
