Cerro Catedral is the ski resort of Bariloche. The station was located in the mountain slopes at 1955 m, hence the low ranges and the lack of extremes. Bariloche, at 800 m, has lower record lows. Due to its altitude, virtually everything falling in the winter months at around 2000 m is snow. Rain at such altitude would be a very rare occurrence, and a disaster for the ski season.

E. The only thing that saves it is that the temperatures aren't too extreme at any point. Otherwise just a terrible climate.
