Best song of the 1970's by far.
I finally got to listen to it in entirety - my mother banned the casette we had back in the 1990's because she thought the song was not fit to be heard by children.

Number #1 in the US in 1971, shows how different the world was back then, this wouldn't even make the radio now. About a slave who whips and rapes his female slaves. Tbf, I think the song had such great groove and guitar riffs that few people cared  |

Strewthless Not sure which decade thread to post this in. It could be called a 1960s song, but this performance of White Summer is from Led Zeppelin's concert at the Royal Albert Hall on January 9, 1970 (Jimmy Page's 26th birthday). I've liked this performance ever since I first saw it on the Led Zeppelin DVD, which was when I got it and watched it in late 2004/early 2005. So listening to this quite reminds of that period in time. A magnificent performance by Jimmy Page.
