Thanks to a very strong El Niño in 1983, Redding, a lush temperate rainforest climate at the northern edge of the Sacramento Valley in California, saw its record precipitation year. It was also a cooler than average year overall across the entire West Coast, which can be attributed to the eruption of El Chichón in 1982. I rate it B, epic precipitation and diurnals, but summers could be a bit cooler. EDIT: Yeah, downgrading to C because of the lack of snow.

E. November to April is unlivable, the summer saves it from an F.

C since its too warm the entire year, too hot and dry in summer as well and too wet during the winter. Its like an extreme form of interior portugal or like the turkish med-coast with cool summer nights.

B-, mediterraine indice 9999999999999999999999 and a solid summer to reward that dragging winter.
but no snow in all of that is very disappointing. Winter is too stable as well.

Gross, and kinda boring. The only interesting aspect is the precipitation. I'd give it an E+/D-.

Alright I guess, although winters are too rainy and summer days too hot.

D, I don't like the rainfall pattern or temperatures. Spring and fall are the only decent months.
Redding is wetter than I thought, I thought it was much drier than it is.

C- It's way too rainy and somewhat too mild in winter, and too dry during summer.

Pretty fucking horrible. E (which isn't on my scale usually, A-D or F) ONLY because it is live-able-ish. So gross

C-
The massive winter rainfall totals and the too large diurnal ranges in the warmer half of the year drag the rating down significantly. At least summer afternoons are nice.

D.
Summer looks awesome but the rest of the year is atrocious with too much mild rain.

C, winters have good temps but it's too wet, and summers are too hot and dry as well. It's not atrocious though.

This is unironically an A+, as are many years in Redding. Doesn't get much more epic than this.
