If Canberra is subtropical in any shape or form, then I eat my own shit for dinner daily. Rediculous. We're literally citing köppen classifications here, and despite being 500m ASL, Canberra manages a 21.2'C mean in its warmest month. It would undoubtedly be Cfa with just a couple hundred meters of less elevation, which means it's subtropicl highland according to Köppen's classifications. This is not "my shroomed opinion", it's just straight fact.

As others have mentioned, a subarctic label misses central parts of my climate. More like Dfb (using 0C threshold) or Cfb (using -3C threshold). And only slightly at altitude, we have both Cfc (using -3C) near the fjord, and Dfc at a little altitude some km away from the fjord.

Your köppen climate type is subtropical highland, whether you like it or not. And the station that best represents your climate is Jindabyne, 100m lower altitude but half a degree south. Not fucking Thredbo, furthet away, in a completely different environment and 300m higher. Adaminany has got 7 months with with means above 10'C so you're not even remotely close to living in a subantarctic/subalpine climate. Jindabyne doesn't even have a BOM weather station installed, you witless rascal, whereas Thredbo Village is actually registered as a BOM site (unlike Jindy's source, ClimateData.org.) Farthermore, I'm almost 400 m higher than Jindabyne, yet only 90 m lower than Thredbo Village—did you even read-up on my profile elevation (1,290 m/4,233 ft AMSL), you blind blighter, or at least check the elevation around Lake Eucumbene via ElevationFinder.com? Plenty of vast grazing land here straddling 1,200-1,350 m AMSL, and I'm right on it. Your false accusations are spectacularly amusing, to say the least; you can't even fact-check your own tripe! Since you have such a terribly short attention-span, I was benevolent enough to do the dirty work for you.^ Be grateful, kiddo! For I shall not spare your tomfoolery next time.

Well in that case I do stand corrected about which station that most closely matches your climate. I assumed you lived in or at least near Adaminaby. Still doesn't change the fact that you live in a subtropical highland climate though.

BSk, bordering Csa.
Absolutely laughable that I have the same Köppen type as Steeler. But as Easthome would say, Fort Collins and Tarragona have the same climate and we have to deal with this indisputable fact.
