Today is the day. It's clear, it's hot, dewpoints are up, and after this biggest pisstake in history, if there are no storms today, prepare yourselves....

Stupid dull Fuxton doing what it does best.. EVERY SINGLE DAY that had sun in the forecast has had it replaced with OVERCAST. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Pathetic.

Sounds like New York, tropical heat and humidity + full sunshine rarely results in anything more than quick rain shower because of the stupid stable atmospheric conditions of the coast/ocean. August 2016 had dews as high as 29C and that month was drier than fcking Phoenix. The same exact conditions yield psychotic afternoon thunderstorms in Florida, even along the coast.

Reading this made me look forward to wet season again. With the pathetic excuse for "winters" here, wet season brings much more interesting weather. Nothing like a huge, billowing cumulonimbus cloud under a hot sun to have the perfect summer atmosphere. I hope you get something good!

Although to be fair, inland FL sees much more epic thunderstorms than we do (close to the coast). I'm always green with jealousy of the storms the areas between Immokalee and Lakeland get. Always seems to be a lot of red in the radar in those areas.

I'm not arguing with you lol. I guess I've only been out at night recently and nights have been nice. It's really fucking pissing me off that every cold snap forecast turns out to be a complete fail. It'd be much nicer if the models forecasted heat in the long range and then improved in the short range. Really fucking annoying. I told you that models give out a bunch of false hope lol. It's pointless to look at anything past like Day 5 for down here. Warmer than average is always a guarantee in this fucking pathetic waste of a fucking climate. I bet you the cold snap we had in late October will be the coldest temps until January. Looks like I'll be eating my own words this weekend, never been happier to be wrong. Hell, it looks like there's a decent shot temps will drop 10 F below the late October cold snap this weekend.

Another bullshit November followed by a pathetic December. My life goal now is to witness just one decent winter before I die. What counts as a decent winter for you? I can't realistically expect cold/snow all the way through, so I suppose three snowy spells at some point during the winter totalling 15 days of full snow cover with a few ice days thrown in each time counts as a decent winter for me. The rest of the time it can be 12C for all I care because 5C highs are pretty useless.

I'll take a normal one and be happy at this point. Regular freezes starting in mid-November, snowpack starting to build by early December, no major thaws before the second half of March. We haven't had a stretch of cold longer than three weeks in nearly five years at 60Β°N. Even heat lovers are starting to grumble.

TavelsjΓΆ has as much or more snow thickness now than anytime since 2013 I think.
