6/19: 107/76; Very hot and humid with an very strong thunderstorm coming through around 3 pm dropping a quick 0.50" (13 mm) of rain on Winter Haven, before it getting hot again mid-late afternoon and another thunderstorm towards the evening hours dropping another 0.50" (13 mm) of rain, totaling 1.00" (25 mm) for the day. At the height of the day, it was 107 F (42 C) with a 77 F (25 C) dew point, creating a heat index of 126 F (52 C)!

Sky Condition: 7/8 oktas total cloud cover; 4/8 CB (cumulonimbus) at 6,680ft, to the south and south east, and AC (altocumulus) at 14,000ft, to the south, west and north. Weather: Approaching intense thunderstorm. Can see CG lightning frequently below the black shelf cloud. Wind is changing direction as well. Power will probably blow up when the storm gets overhead. Always seems to happen.  |
