Oppressive morning already, leading to another day of very severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. Luckily, in about a week a long lasting dry period will come. Only thing is that it'll bring very extreme heat with it.

Wow that is one stormy summer!
Not sure many parts of New Florida even get that many.
Well, the most stormy one I could find, Tym City:
Jan: 3.2 Feb: 2.2 Mar: 3.4 Apr: 9.0 May: 12.8 Jun: 15.4 Jul: 20.0 Aug: 22.0 Sep: 18.8 Oct: 11.8 Nov: 4.2 Dec: 2.6 Total: 125.4
That one is a tropical climate mind you.

^ That's epic! What's the temps like? Might be about as good as it gets in terms of tropical climates lol. Winter Haven is still quite sunny in the summer, but it storms nearly every day for about 1-2 hours, usually quite severe as well. Essentially South FL on steroids, summer months nearly average 700 mm each in precipitation due to very high rainfall rates from strong storms.

Very strong thunderstorm happening right now, with 1.00" (25 mm) of rain recorded in just 12 minutes. Severe thunderstorm, tornado, and flood watch in effect until 7 pm.

^ Sweet that's about as good as it gets in terms of tropical climates....if I had to live in a tropical climate that would definitely be my choice.
6/27: 101/72; Another very oppressive day, before strong thunderstorms dumped extremely heavy rainfall, high winds, very frequent lightning and hail, rainfall accumulated to 8.65" (220 mm) with a peak wind gust of 117 mph (189 kph) during the strongest part of the storm. There's quite a bit of flooding in the area now.
11:45 AM
Temp: 93 F (34 C)
Conditions: Sunny with cumulonimbus clouds starting to build up
Wind: S at 15 mph G 22 mph
Dew Point: 84 F (29 C)
Heat Index: 120 F (49 C)
Rainfall to date: 105.75" (2687 mm)
Sunrise: Sun does not rise Solar Noon: 12:59:57 PM Sunset: Sun does not set Peak Sun Angle: 84.79 degrees Length of Day: Sun is out all day
Extremely humid this morning, due to a lot of standing water in the area. Predicted high of 95 F (35 C) for today, but that will easily be overshot considering it's 93 F (34 C) already and it's not noon yet. Low this morning was a "cool" 70 F (21 C) due to strong thunderstorm outflows cooling the area off. High today will likely reach the 98-100 F (37-38 C) range with another round of severe thunderstorms for today.

5:25 PM
Temp: 100 F (38 C)
Conditions: Sunny with huge cumulonimbus and a dark horizon to the S
Wind: S at 15 mph G 22 mph
Dew Point: 84 F (29 C)
Heat Index: 131 F (55 C)
Rainfall to date: 105.75" (2687 mm)
Very oppressive right now, a severe thunderstorm has been spotted south of town moving north, so there's a severe thunderstorm warning posted up, also a tornado and flood warning. This thunderstorm has produced 5 confirmed tornadoes, 4 in the F1-F2 range and one F3, with rainfall rates up to 8"/hour, wind gusts up to 125 mph (outside of tornadoes) and some large hail. Will be a rough evening in Winter Haven.

Also doing hourly observations for some of my dream climates. Trying to add quite a bit of detail but it would take forever, so only doing a few.

Severe thunderstorm with an F2 tornado passing through, uprooting trees and causing some structural damage through the area. Blinding rainfall has dropped 2.00" (51 mm) in just 15 minutes and intense lightning. Very rough evening, tornado is moving quickly so damage won't be too bad.
