Underrated: Cool, breezy, cloudy weather with temps in the 50s/60s F (10s C) and occasional light rain showers
Temps below 50F/10C and sunny
Light freezing rain, ice pellets
Overrated:
Blue-dome skies in the warm season
Temps in the 70s F/low 20s C
Both overrated conditions are still nice, IMO, they're just not as nice as people make them out to be.

1. Anything below -5C. Already cold enough for snow and uncomfortably bitter
2. Anything between 3C-15C. Just cold-cool and not warm enough for anything
Underrated
1. 20C+ lows feel great in summer
2. 30C + heat. No explanation needed

You've got it backwards; I'm the only member on this forum who actually likes cold + wet winters. I agree with summers, however. |

Lame. I thought you liked hot summers. Hot summers are objectively overrated on this forum; this fact doesn't change my summer preferrences. The word overrated, is generally used in an objective senseโi.e. not related whatsoever to my own preferrences. Just what I have observed from posts, shoutbox comments, etc. Although I like hot summers, they are overrated on here because ~ 90% of members also like them (not to mention the climate battles poll results!). Perhaps only a handful of members here actually like cool summers. I find that the #No.1 most hated weather conditions/climate features on here are cold rain and sleet. This is evident from climate battles poll results; climates with heavy winter precipitation and cool to cold winters are often rated very poorly. |

Overrated: - Blue dome skies. Nice for a few days but it gets old fast. I remember a sun worshiper from citydata moving to Egypt, then complaining that the most weather he ever gets to see is a cloud in the distance.
- On this forum: storms and strong winds. Again, cool once in a while but if it's every other day like this winter and spring here I just want it to calm the fuck down.
- On this forum: rain and high humidity. Many seem to like four digit precipitation amounts and super lush subtropical climates. Steam baths suck and clean, austere nature looks way better.
Underrated: - Cool to comfortable summer weather in the 15-25ยฐC range. You don't need to be sweating bullets to enjoy summer. AC bills remain at zero.
- On this forum: long summer days. Don't knock it till you try it, it's nice to forget about darkness for a while.
- Last but not least, frigid cold. A crisp sunny -20ยฐC day is way better than the 5ยฐC drizzle everyone prefers for "winter."

Snowstorms (who cares about how "inconvenient" they are, does it kill anyone to slow life down for a few days?)
Chilly, dry, and crisp weather (-5 C to 10 C; people seem to think this is really cold for some reason)
Frigid/cold, sunny weather with a good snowpack (say -25 C to -10 C with sunny skies) beautiful winter weather
Moderate cold and snow
Hot, humid weather with thunderstorms
Big temperature swings
