This one is tricky because everywhere I checked east of Kansas had the warmest day at the end of the month. But Kansas and Colorado are too dry. The best I can guess is somewhere near the confluence of the Ohio and the Mississippi. No I haven't a clue then, and it's been two weeks without anyone being able to guess it. |

I'll repost mine, as no one ever guessed it. I've actually forgotten where this is, so it will be as much of a surprise to me as it is to you. Took me a while. I knew it was in the west because of the high diurnals and I knew the end of August 1992 had snow in Great Falls (Montana). It's Scottsbluff, NE. The month was 5F below average and 0.35" wetter.
Some other close cities were Glendive, MT 82/50 and 2.00" and Havre, MT 78/49 and 1.66"
