(faar more representative of N Van than the YVR airport is) To be honest, it's kinda hard for me to decide. I like Anchorage but compared to Denver, it's a very boring climate, even though Denver gets long periods of boring weather itself. Summers in Gosford are fucking nice, pretty much the ideal subtropical summer in my opinion. The heat in Temecula is what sticks out to me from that place. Summers had frequent stretches of +100F temps. Nice warm nights though. I'd rank them like this though: 1. Denver (good storms, snow, everything else except 'canes) 2. Anchorage (good cold, snow, nice but boring, stormless crummers) 3. Coquitlam (mediocre winters, nice but boring, stormless summers) 4. Gosford (good storms, nice summers, boring winters) 5. Eugene (no storms, shit winters) 6. Temecula (variable winters, hot in summer) 7. Santa Ana (usually boring as fuck)

Yeah, I think I'd choose the same as you. Denver followed by Anchorage. All the other climates are pretty boring. Anchorage almost beat out Denver, but Denver's summers, variability, storms and almost as much extreme cold potential put it over Anchorage.
Nice and interesting battle though.

1. Denver. Easy decision, no comparison, excellent climate.
#2 is gonna surprise you, I’d pick Gosford. Seems to get good storms, pleasant temps and not too many rainy days. Still a D climate.
3. Temecula 4. Santa Ana
Both are pleasant but very boring, Temecula a bit more interesting so it’s 3rd.
Next is a big drop.
5. Anchorage—E+ 6. Eugene—E+ 7. Vancouver—F. Dreadful fucking climate. July to sept are the only livable months.

Ok, I had to change it to Anchorage. Very close between Denver though.

1. Denver (too arid and nights are too cold) 2. Gosford (too wet)
3. Santa Ana (boring but at least pleasant) 4. Temecula (boring) 5. Eugene (cold nights, no thunderstorms, dreary winters) 6. North Vancouver (far too wet in winter) 7. Anchorage (too cold)

Gosford has the best combo of all the weather I actually like. It, and Denver, are also the only climates there that actually have storms.

Gosford for the combo of most pleasant year-round + presumably a green landscape, though Denver a close second for more interesting day-to-day weather.
Last has to be Anchorage even if it's actually quite a bit drier and sunnier than I expected.

Eugene since it's not semiarid, even if Denver could seem more interesting at times. Then Gosford, then Santa Ana/Coquitlam, then Temulca, and Anchorage far behind the rest.

Denver, by far. After that, I would rank them as follows: Eugene, Coquitlam, Gosford, Santa Ana, Temecula, Anchorage.

Tough choice between Gosford, Santa Ana and Temecula. I guess I'd pick Temecula for the hot summer days even if the winter nights are a little colder. All three are pretty decent though.
