May: 3 (1 in Foco, 1 in Custer, SD, 1 in Brainerd, MN)
Total: 9
Of these, Iโd call maybe 4 proper thunderstorms

We ( Darwin ) get around 80-100 thunderstorms a year.... in fact so common I don't bother counting them. Last season was likely below average with the late start to the wet season. Some figures:    |

Thunderstorm passed by my area in the last hour, sounded like IC lightning based on the thunder. So that's one thunderstorm day so far this year.
